Our Cathedral is also famous around the country and the globe by all cricket lovers.
St Peter’s Cathedral is a landmark in the City of Adelaide, an important part of the city’s heritage. However, the Cathedral is much more than a beautiful historic building. It is also the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Adelaide and home to a dynamic and inclusive sacramental community, which cherishes excellent liturgy, music and preaching.
Tours at St Peter’s Cathedral are a great way to learn about the history and hidden beauties our this magnificent building. Experienced and knowledgeable tour guides conduct informative and educational tours focusing on the history and religious symbolism of the building and discussing the numerous beautiful artworks in the Cathedral. Free guided tours happen every Wednesday at 11:00am!
The Cathedral Shop is the perfect way to end your trip and pick up a beautiful souvenir for yourself or your family and friends. Most items are made and produced here in Adelaide or Australia. All funds raised at the shop are dedicated to the maintenance of our cathedral.

Tuesday - Friday 10:30am-3:30pm

Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Photography
Visitors are welcome to take photos inside the Cathedral, but sensitivity to the sacred nature of the Cathedral is asked for.
Visitors are not permitted to take photographs of choir rehearsals without specific permission.
Wedding photos for couples not married in the Cathedral can only be taken on the forecourt or steps of the Cathedral. For commercial photography permission must be gained from the Dean. Please contact the Cathedral Office.
